The main collection is held at the County Central Library and includes the following:

  • Contact details, annual reports, financial information (balance sheet, credit rating, County Court Judgements) and lists of directors and shareholders for UK registered companies.
  • Details of manufacturers and suppliers of goods and services worldwide via Kompass Online - one of our online business resources - which you can access from this website with your Kent library ticket.

  • Market research reports on consumer products and industry sectors.
  • Social, economic and industrial raw statistics for the UK and abroad.

Standards and legislation

  • UK British Standards accessible online in all our libraries.
  • Health & Safety Executive publications, building regulations and other legislation can also be accessed at the County Central Library.

Management and 'know how'

The County Central Library holds a large collection of books on management theory and procedure, as well as practical how-to guides for loan. We also provide access to COBRA a one-stop-shop online database ideal for small businesses and students.

As well as answering your queries about all the above areas for free, the Ask a Kent Librarian team can, for a charge

  • produce mailing lists tailored to your needs using a variety of criteria, e.g. postcode, town or region, turnover, number of employees for the UK registered companies.
