Getting in touch

Health and wellbeing

For individuals, partners, families and friends living with or affected by Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), or anyone wishing to understand more about HIV. Social Services can provide help and access to information about HIV and related illness, put you in touch with medical services, give help with benefits and housing problems and provide home and respite care and support.

Substance misuse is an issue that can seriously affect individuals, families and communities. To help deal with this issue, the Kent Drug and Alcohol Action Team website has been developed to provide comprehensive information and advice about drugs and alcohol.

Counselling is a positive process which is often associated with times of personal crisis. Often talking to someone who is trained and experienced in counselling can help us get through this difficult period. Our Counselling website provides information on how to find a counsellor and what to expect.

Domestic Violence and abuse is an unacceptable crime which affects people from all social and economic backgrounds, regardless of age, ethnicity, religion or sexual orientation. Our website provides information about what to do if you are or know someone who is experiencing domestic violence.

TeleHealth technology will help you and your health professionals to monitor your vital signs. Using the TeleHealth equipment you will be able to take the same measurements that the nurse or GP take at the surgery therefore avoiding frequent visits to the surgery.

Telecare is an exciting and innovative service which provides support to people in their own homes, with the help of technology and community response services.
